DESCRIPTION:It’s spooky season at SCD! 🎃 \nOctober 25–31\, 2026 \nAll week long\, dancers are invited to wear a fun\, creative\, or festive costume to class and bring a little extra personality to the studio. Keep costumes dance-safe and movement-friendly so you can still fully participate in class. Avoid anything that blocks vision\, creates a tripping hazard\, or prevents safe movement. **Wearing a costume is completely optional** \nCome dressed up\, take class\, snap some pictures\, and have fun with your SCD family. One week. Every class. All the costumes. 👻🩰  \nHow Wear Your Costume to Dance Week Works\nThere is no separate event registration required beyond reserving your regular dance class. Simply select an eligible class from the Second Chance Dance schedule\, reserve your space\, and arrive wearing your costume if you choose to participate. \nCostumes can be funny\, glamorous\, spooky\, nostalgic\, creative\, dance-inspired\, or completely original. Whether you arrive as a favorite character\, an iconic performer\, or something only you could have dreamed up\, we want you to have fun expressing yourself. \nThis celebration will take place throughout the entire week\, so you may participate in more than one class or wear a different costume each time. One week. Every class. All the costumes. 👻🩰 \nKeep Your Costume Dance-Safe\nYour costume must allow you to participate safely and comfortably in class. Before arriving\, make sure you can bend\, stretch\, turn\, travel across the floor\, and see clearly while wearing it. \nFor everyone’s safety\, please avoid: \n\nMasks\, hats\, or accessories that block your vision\nCostumes that drag on the floor or create a tripping hazard\nLoose pieces that could fall off while you are moving\nSharp\, heavy\, or oversized accessories\nClothing that prevents your instructor from safely observing your movement\nProps that could interfere with other dancers\nFootwear that is inappropriate for your selected dance class

Join us on Friday\, October 30\, 2026\, from 6:30–9:30 PM for another chance to laugh\, connect\, dance\, and make memories with the Second Chance Dance community. \nYou do not need to be an experienced dancer—or a dancer at all—to enjoy the party. There will be no dance class\, required choreography\, or pressure to perform. Go all out with a head-to-toe transformation\, keep it simple with a recognizable classic\, coordinate a costume with your partner\, or bring the whole crew together for a group theme. Solo costumes\, couples’ costumes\, and group costumes are all welcome. Costumes should allow you to move safely and comfortably throughout the evening. Please avoid anything that blocks your vision\, creates a tripping hazard\, includes dangerous accessories\, or could interfere with another guest’s ability to enjoy the event. A costume is encouraged but not required. We would much rather have you join us without one than miss the costume party. \nWho Can Attend?\nThis is an adults-only Halloween event for guests ages 18 and older. The Costume Party is open to current SCD dancers\, returning dancers\, friends\, partners\, and adults interested in experiencing the Second Chance Dance community. You do not need to attend SCD to come to the costume party. You also do not need dance training or a dance partner. Come alone and meet new people\, purchase a pair ticket for you and a guest\, or coordinate with friends for a full group costume. \nTicket Options\nIndividual Ticket — $20\nIncludes admission for one adult guest. \nPair Ticket — $30\nIncludes admission for two adult guests arriving together. \nEach guest must be at least 18 years old.
